The Name

We named my new born son this past Saturday in Synagogue who was better known as “Buster” before we officially named him. His English name is Alistair Park. We liked the name Alistair which my friend Kim told me is more popular in Scotland than England, we thought the reverse. Park was my mother-in-law’s fathers name, she was very pleased. We also gave him his Hebrew name which is the name that we use daily; Avidan Ephraim (A-vee-dun / Ef-rie-em). Being a guy, I’m not real sure of either of the spellings because there are a couple of different ways to spell his name both in English and Hebrew.

This is just another short post to keep all of you updated. I’m still pulling double duty, but Robin is starting to feel a bit better.

Talk to y’all soon.

MazelTov on the Bris and love the name Avidan. I love hebrew names...I guess you can tell with Aviva's name (if she was a boy would have been Ari).

Congrats again.

Since I didn't know what the proper terminology was on the naming ceremony I'm glad dori posted first so I can follow her lead and say MazelTov! He's getting so big already!

Dori - Thanks. By the way Happy belated Channukah. Aviva's getting so big. I liked the pics of her lighting the Menorah.

Michelle - He's getting huge. I can't believe he's only 1 1/2 weeks old.

Princess Morgan: He looks just like my other son who in turn looks like me, so yes I am the father of my boys.

Most of you are saying that he looks like me. If that's the case thanks for calling me a horizontally challenged, balding and toothless little baby:)

I know you are but what am I!
